My Review

I found this book so intriguing and helpful.

Especially for someone like me who can tend to get awkward in social situations with people I don’t know that well.

It’s really easy to digest, I love the headings for each of the techniques. It just really draws you in and you really want to learn how to do them. I also really liked that she summarises each technique quite nicely in these little boxes. So if you ever feel like you ned a quick refresh you can just read those.

I wrote so many notes, and there were so many aha moments for me. I’d say the only chapter I didn’t find relevant was the one about communicating on the phone. I semi skimmed that section. I just think in today’s society less people talk on the phone and it’s just over text or zoom anyway.

I also think the writing is very good. Immediately I knew she was a “writer” rather than a coach writing a book.

Overall recommend this book if you want to up-skill in communications and learn how to create genuine connections.
